So back to my views on Nick Griffin leader of the BNP appearing on Question Time. I still stand by the fact that I have no issue with him appearing and felt that he did in fact expose himself as the idiot that he is. However, I was disappointed by the way he was dealt with by the panel members and the public. He should have been allowed to speak more about the BNP policies and what they stand for, simply to allow him to dig himself a bigger whole. But according to their website, they state the following:
"We want Britain to remain – or return to – the way it has traditionally been. We accept that Britain always will have ethnic minorities and have no problem with this as long as they remain minorities and do not change nor seek to change the fundamental culture and identity of the indigenous peoples of the British Isles".
Awful!! Awful!! Awful!!
Seriously no body wants to change the the culture or identity of the indigenous people (in BNP terms: those who are white). It's disgusting the way they are putting a divide between people. Britain is a diverse country and should remain that way.
But Jack Straw should have been honest and was hopeless.
What the Guardian had to say:
"The broadcaster said that the BBC had mishandled the first appearance of the British National party on the flagship political programme, by setting the “attack dogs” against Griffin.
As a result, some people were likely to have felt some sympathy for Griffin, she hinted"
Lets just hope that this is not the case!!...the last thing we want is for Mr Griffin to gain power through the Sympathy vote.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At this very moment they are recording Question time with the BNP leader Nick Griffin. It is insane how in modern day people like this still are able to get through the system and obtain a small percentage, but significant, amount of power. We live in a democracy, we cannot blame anyone other than the people as a whole to allow others with controversial, racist views to obtain power.
It was interesting today to here Mr Griffin being compared to the Trojan horse, being wheeled into the BBC, to then spread his word to the nation. It is wondered how the youth will react to his spin on things, will they be manipulated and will there be an increase in racial attacks? Every one is entitled to free speech, as the law stands. However, there are always limitations, for example you cannot just shout abuse at a passer by because you felt like exercising your free speech. There are a clash of human rights and has Mr Griffin gone too far?
I personally don't mind him being on Question Time, it is true he has earned his space, it is the people of the country who rubber stamped it. Hopefully allowing him to be on such a well established show will expose him and his racist views. I have no doubt he will lie to cover up old lies. It is all down to the public now, will they fall for all that he stands for, a non-multi cultured Britain.

Green and more Green
Photos from my walk...
The first photo is my fav, I think I may have to revisit this spot. I was trying to get a flash of colour in my pictures.

The above photo is slightly blury to the right... a tripod would sort that out.
