So back to my views on Nick Griffin leader of the BNP appearing on Question Time. I still stand by the fact that I have no issue with him appearing and felt that he did in fact expose himself as the idiot that he is. However, I was disappointed by the way he was dealt with by the panel members and the public. He should have been allowed to speak more about the BNP policies and what they stand for, simply to allow him to dig himself a bigger whole. But according to their website, they state the following:
"We want Britain to remain – or return to – the way it has traditionally been. We accept that Britain always will have ethnic minorities and have no problem with this as long as they remain minorities and do not change nor seek to change the fundamental culture and identity of the indigenous peoples of the British Isles".
Awful!! Awful!! Awful!!
Seriously no body wants to change the the culture or identity of the indigenous people (in BNP terms: those who are white). It's disgusting the way they are putting a divide between people. Britain is a diverse country and should remain that way.
But Jack Straw should have been honest and was hopeless.
What the Guardian had to say:
"The broadcaster said that the BBC had mishandled the first appearance of the British National party on the flagship political programme, by setting the “attack dogs” against Griffin.
As a result, some people were likely to have felt some sympathy for Griffin, she hinted"
Lets just hope that this is not the case!!...the last thing we want is for Mr Griffin to gain power through the Sympathy vote.

that is truly astounding that someone would be capable of saying something of that nature on air and not be eviscerated. that would be political suicide here in the States
